Our new “cyclist” t-shirts are now available at Snitger’s Bicycle Store in Beaver, PA. I love local, privately-owned specialty stores, and Snitger’s is one of these great places. If you’re in that area, please stop by and pick up a shirt.
These t-shirts are pigment dyed, which gives them an earthy look. We’ve got four colors of the men’s/unisex cut (smoke, bay, denim, mustard) and four colors of the ladies cut (pink, periwinkle, bay, celery).

pink

smoke

mustard

periwinkle

bay

celery

denim
If you’re not in the western suburbs of Pittsburgh, we have the shirts online too. Our online shopping cart isn’t up yet (triathlon training takes priority), but you can email me and use PayPal for now. The shirts are $24.99 and the shipping is always free.

Since Gather No Moss is still a home-based business, we’ve entered StartupNation’s “Home-Based 100″ Contest. The purpose of the contest is to get exposure for the companies that enter, that win, and for StartupNation itself, which is a great resource for startup companies.
The rules of the contest allow everyone to vote once a day. If you agree with the message that Gather No Moss is trying to spread, then we’d like to ask you to vote for us, and preferably every day! When voting, you select the option to have StartupNation send you a voting reminder email each day. Please help us get our message (and t-shirts) out!

Gather No Moss t-shirts are now available at Elite Runners & Walkers in the Robinson Township area of Pittsburgh. This is the top running specialty store in southwestern Pennsylvania. Thanks to Kevin and the staff there for promoting active lifestyles in the Pittsburgh area.
If you’ve never been to a running specialty store like this, it’s worth the trip. Besides running/walking shoes and accessories, they also have books, license plate frames, baby joggers, and things that general sporting goods stores don’t carry. And they’re staffed with runners. It’s motivational just to be in the store!

The newest Gather No Moss t-shirts are in. These are pigment-dyed earth colors, so they have a nice “broken-in” look to them. The online store at our web site is still a work in progress, so the way to order these shirts is to email me. There are limited quantities of each color and size, as this was a small batch of shirts that we created. For each color, we have: 1 small, 2 mediums, 4 larges, and 2 extra-larges. $24.99, free shipping.

A lot has been happening around here lately. May started with the Pittsburgh Marathon and Half Marathon. I had been training all winter for the Half, and it went fairly well for me. I stayed on pace for the first seven or eight miles, but then began to slow down a bit as I started running out of gas. But it was a great day for running (about 50 degrees and overcast).
Now it’s time to turn my attention to my next goal: my first triathlon, which will be in August. It’s time to add some biking and swimming into my training, and cutting back on the running mileage. The nice thing about this is that it adds some variety, which keeps things fresh.

I’m also switching gears a little with how I handle Gather No Moss t-shirts. I’m beginning to stock my own shirts and experimenting with various styles and fabrics. I currently have some bamboo shirts, and some organic cotton shirts, and this week we’ll will be getting some new eco-friendly pigment-dyed shirts!
I’m also in the process of creating a new online store, so stay tuned for an announcement when that is ready. In the meantime, if you’re interested in one of these new shirts, email me.
